Twist In The Cucumber Raita.

This is a great delicacy from the Kumaun region of Uttrakhand. My husband taught me this recipe and I just loved it.

The following recipe will make 4 to 5 servings.

lets revile the twist of this Raita.

Ingredient:

500 grams of curd
1 medium or 2 small size cucumber
1/2 table spoon of crushed mustard seeds
1/4th tea spoon of turmeric powder
1/4th of a tea spoon of red chilly powder
1/4th of a tea spoon of coriander powder
1/2 tea spoon of chopped green chilies
salt to taste

Method:

Peel the skin of the cucumber.
Grate the cucumber and squeeze the excess water out.
Add all the remaining ingredient in the cucumber and mix well.
let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Notes:
cucumber juice is really refreshing so dont throw away the water can drink or apply it on skin to get glowing skin.
It needs 30 minutes resting time as the curd needs time to absorb the flavor from the mustard.
spices can be adjusted as per your taste.
dont add chopped chillies if serving kids.
