Chickpeas, Beetroot and cottage cheese salad

White Garbanzos have a delicious nutlike taste and a texture that is buttery, yet somewhat starchy and pastry. Beetroot improves stamina. Cottage cheese contains a good amount of protein.

It will serve 4


1 cup chickpeas.

1/2 cup beetroot chopped.

1/2 cup onions sliced.

1/2 cup cottage cheese.

Salt and pepper


1 Table spoon olive oil.

1 Tea spoon mustard seeds powder.

1 table spoon chilly vinegar.


Mix olive oil, mustard seeds and vinegar in a bowl and keep aside.(dressing)

Cook the chickpeas with some salt and keep aside.

Cook the beetroot in hot water for 3 minutes on high flame.

Cook the cottage cheese in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes.

Now mix chickpeas, beetroot, onions and cottage cheese together. Now add the dressing and mix it properly.

Add salt and pepper and serve.


Add salt and pepper only when serving.

can use feta cheese also.
