Lauki Poori (Green Gaurd Bread)

Lauki ke poori is something new I tried today as I had lauki in my fridge and my best friend suggested me to make this. It was pretty good.

Makes: 10 to 12 puri


For the Dough:

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup shredded green guard (lauki)

Pinch of garam masala powder

1/4th tea spoon coriander powder

1/2 tea spoon of chopped chilies

1 tea spoon of oil

salt to taste

water for kneading the dough.


Oil for deep frying.


Mix all the ingredient and Knead a smooth and stiff dough using little water and let it rest for 15-20 minuts.

Roll it in small circular shape and deep fry it.


Make sure the oil is hot when frying.

Serve hot with some dry vegetable.
