Last week I had very little french beans and some left over black garbanzo beans, I decided to mix both and make some salad, came out like a nice crispy stir fry vegetable. Really a very good combination so thought of posting it. You can have it like a salad or can even serve it with some Roti (Indian Bread).
1 table spoon oil
1 medium size onion chopped
2 medium size tomato chopped
2 green chillies
a pinch of garam masala powder
1/4th tea spoon of coriander powder
1 cup boiled black garbanzo beans (Kala chana)
2 cups chopped beans
salt as per taste
Heat a table spoon of oil in a pan then add onion, stir it for a minute and then add tomatoes, chillies, garam masala, coriander powder and salt and pepper.
Once the tomatoes are cooked add both the beans and cook stirring frequently for 2-3 minutes.
Cover it with the lid and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes.
Serve it hot.
Over cooking will loose the crunchy texture of the french beans.
Garnish it with some shredded (fresh coconut) if you like.
