Garlic bread stick…..!!!!!!

Once in a month I do like to order dominos pizza and garlic bread for dinner. I tried making Garlic bread stick today and it was pretty good so thought of posting it.

Ingredients:

All purpose flour: 1 + 1/2 cup

Yeast: 1/2 tsp

Warm milk: 1/2 cup

Sugar: 1/2 tsp

Salt: 1/2 tsp

Garlic cloves: 8 (Grated)

Olive Oil: 2 Tbsp

Domino seasoning: 4 sachets

Butter: 1/2 cup

Method:

Activate the yeast by: Adding sugar and yeast to warm milk. Keep it in a warm place to froth up for around 10-15 minutes.

In a bowl mix the olive oil with 1 cup flour and salt.

Mix in the yeast mixture to this.

Mix all these into a very sticky dough and let it rest for 1hr for it to double.

Once it has doubled, add the grated garlic and knead using 1/2 cup flour.

Transfer this dough on a clean kitchen platform and knead for around 10 minutes to form a soft pliable dough.

Divide the dough in 2 equal part and shape them in smooth ball’s.

Keep covered in a warm place for it to double for around 45 minutes

Now roll it into a circle not very thin.

Spread the grated butter on it (the butter was very hard so i grated it, If its soft then just apply with butter knife)

Now fold over like a semicircle gently press the bread and seal the edges slightly.

Now line the tray with a piece of parchment paper.

Transfer the garlic bread on the tray.

Apply generous amount of butter on the surface of the bread and sprinkle 1 scathe of dominos seasoning over the bread.

Repeat the same process with the rest of the dough.

Cut into strips using a pizza cutter and cover the tray with a cling rap or clean kitchen towel.

Let the garlic bread resting in warm place for 20 to 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 200 C.

Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes in a preheated oven. Sprinkle more of dominos seasoning and grease some butter before serving it hot.
